Customise Your Notes
Custom Templates
Quickstart

Use your existing templates

VetNotes can fill in your existing note templates, with some minor changes.
This allows you to be more specific about the information VetNotes should include, leading to better results.

Benefits

  • More control - more specific templates give you better control over what content is included.
  • More consistent - VetNotes will write in your format every time, for easier review and visual scanning.
  • More accurate - the default VetNotes format is a good start, however by telling VetNotes exactly what info to include, you will see higher accuracy and specificity in notes.

Step 1 - Create

Navigate to the templates page (opens in a new tab), and click create.

Step 2 - Insert Template

Insert your existing template, or write one from scratch. Eg:

Ears:
Nose:
Weight:
Treatment:

Step 3 - Add fields

  • VetNotes needs to know what information it should fill, and where to put it.
  • This is easy - just insert brackets, with a short explanation of what info should go there.
  • Describe in simple, and direct language.
Ears:(observations about ears)
Nose: (observations about the nose)
Weight: (weight of the animal, number only)
Treatment Plan: (treatment plan for the animal, in dot points)
ℹ️

You can put whatever you'd like in the brackets, just write it in natural language. Simply explain to VetNotes what you'd like written in that area.
